Imagine we worked till 60yo, then we get money from CPF Life. Plus we can easily find some relax job for $2K/mth, can get by already.

But they go back when they are 30yo+. Then must take care of family, kids, etc. They have very limited option. Which means they will end up back to doing the same thing.

Frankly, if they can have option to not work like this, they will definitely go for it. But the problem is that there is no such option for them. Unless they find a guy who will take care of them.

Other than that, they have basically no option anymore.

Once they go back, 30yo+ .... no guy to support them, what can they do? Continue to work in the sex trade until they cannot work anymore, then hope for the best that somewhere in between they find "a way out".

They are basically "fishing". Plus maybe some feeling also lah.

Unless they have some sort of income back home, what they hope is eventually maybe you will take care of them. They have nothing to lose by meeting you but it is an opportunity for them.

You can do all that because you have the means to do it. So to them, it is basically kind of like "barter trade".

If you book budget hotel, eat simple cheap food and they still stick with you, then maybe there is true feeling.

A close WL once said in China, once you hit 35, your life as good as gone already. I thought it was a China joke until I checked it out on XHS.

Almost no one will hire you even for low wage jobs and your chances of getting hitched is also pretty much game over. The problem is further compounded by WLs like them who may be lowly educated or have too much gap in their work experience.

In any case, one should not set up too high expectations for you and the ex-WL. I told my WL that RTC, that in the meantime before you find a decent rich guy to hook up with, feel free to join me on a China holiday. Both of you don say but deep down should acknowledge that you two will always be "Friend with Benefits"

Go to places that you never been before like Beijing or CQ. You don suffer any loss since I cover the accoms and flight tickets while I have someone to accompany me. Sex is secondary, primarily just someone to have fun with. I don over sell the idea. I confirm stay at cheaper hotels and no fancy food, if she okay then just come along. No pressure.

After some RTF in SG and probably some outing/Wechat convo, you probably can get a sense of how she is like. It may not be 100% accurate but if you can guess 75%, that is good enough already.
