The Thai town of Betong is next to the Perak border town, at that time known as Kroh, which was severely under night curfew.
They sold "fried chicken drumsticks" along the border.

Betong not to be confused with the Bentong in Pahang right

I love Thai "fried chicken drumsticks" especially the one at Sukhumvit soi 11- my guess is those in South Thailand equally delicious-will try the fried chicken when cheong chicken next time.
