We would roam around searching for good food. On a Sunday morning, you would probably find us trekking at treetop walk, Bukit Timah, Pierce Reservoir or even Pulau Ubin. (Maybe some of u had seen us before). After a good trek, we would usually end up in one of the ice cream cafe. One of our favourite haunt was The Daily Scoop at Sunset way.

We continue to enjoy each other's company for half a year. Good colleagues at work, and a good friend after office hours. While we enjoy each other's companionship, we never crossed the line.

Six months after working at the company, the situation change. I still remembered that it was raining heavily on that morning. I receive a call from Veronica telling me that she is sick and will not be in today. She asked me to handle the contract meeting with a Thailand based company today. We had worked hard over the last few weeks to clinch this contract. I thought she sounded funny over the air. It sounded like she had been crying. I didn't give much thought then as the key thing on my mind was getting that contract signed.
