Melbourne Victory
Traditional powerhouse Victory are headed for another good season. Built on the values of Kevin Muscat’s down-to-earth 4-2-3-1 formation, Victory galloped to second place finish last term. Marco Rojas’ departure will hit Victory hard, but the midfield is where Victory is unrivalled with Mark Milligan and Carl Valeri dovetailing. Besart Berisha is a veteran that has seen all in the A-League, scoring 54 goals in 82 appearances, and will be heavily depended once again to get Victory going. Participation in the AFC Champions League could turn out to be a double-edged sword though! But on paper, this is a unit that will be there and about in the final sprint towards the line.
