Novotel is in the downtown area of Hatyai, opposite Lee Garden Plaza. You have shopping, birds nest restaurants, etc. At night you'll see make shift food stalls being set up in the road in front & surrounding area. There is the nearby Pink Lady centre within walking distance, 5 to 10 minutes away.

You'll have to take a baht van, their version of a taxi to get to the KFC farms. You can walk but it takes about 45+ minutes & there are many farms to visit;)

I'll let more the active members fill in the details of the popular joints. It's been years since I visited the place & I'm sure there must have been changes.
