Hi Prof, if your friend is just going to Tachilek, it isn't that far. Just a short walk across the bridge.5 minutes.

cycle???? yes, had a friend, he crazy enuff to cycle (with a group) from Sillypore to Thailand and back (charity cycleton) .... guess what? they have to apply KY to their asses..... still kenna blisters around the ass, cannot sit for many days. :eek:

very sure, they cannot bonk!:D

so in conclusion, cycle is another option, not recommended.. unless you can bonk with blistered ass...:confused:

Hmmm....my 1st trip was with my NS frds fm 5SIB (lau soldier leow). Took coach 707 fm Golden Mile Complex. Many many yrs back....and the 1st hotel in Hatyai I checked in was PRESIDENT Hotel. Uncle, can tell me or not whether tis hotel still around..?:p

Not direct flights am i right? Last i checked the transit periods were up to 7hours! :(
