Just came back from Hatyai last week and it is still the same but if you compare it 3 years before and now it is a big difference as the cheongster have shift from Hatyai to Danok already due to the distant, no Malaysian phone line and also in Danok it is possible to have a day trip as it is so near to the Malaysian border. The drastic change is after the bomb incident and Danok town is blooming and born after that.

For people visiting Hatyai also slowly change from a cheonging town to a shoping haven for aunties with family and only the pubs and lounges is filled with actual cheongsters.

Avoid holidays session and school holidays as the town will be filled with aunties, uncles and kids....hotel prices have gone down and also many puying migrated to Danok but there is a still some gem left if you know where to look. I found one the last trip I am there and I will be following up on her on my next coming trip as I need to bring a friend from S'gore for flower bath for good business luck.:D:D
